The Cincinnati Reds broke a state law banning indoor smoking when the team lit up cigars in their clubhouse during the celebration after clinching the NL Central pennant.
According to the report, Cincinnati health department officials received at least five calls complaining about the smoke.
Ohio state law prohibits smoking at public facilities like Great America Ball Park, home of the Reds.
Some suggested that St. Louis Cardinals fans were the culprits while others said liberals with nothing better to do were to blame.
Health department spokesman Rocky Merz said that the possibility of any action being taken in the matter is “highly unlikely.”
