The Memphis Tigers are among the 10 worst college football teams in America according to ESPN columnist Mark Schlabach.
Throughout the season Schlabach posts his Bottom 10, the 10 worst college football teams in the nation, and this week Memphis comes in at No.9.
Perhaps the Tigers first-year head coach Larry Porter can take consolation in the fact that the Georgia Bulldogs are ranked fifth this week.
Considering that the remaining nine teams on Schlabach’s list all come from non-automatic qualifying BCS conferences, the Bulldogs are in some rather dubious company.
Eastern Michigan holds the distinction of being the worst team in college football. The Eagles are 0-5 and have allowed opponents to score 214 points – an average of 42.8 per game.
Eastern Michigan will face Vanderbilt this week in Nashville and even though the Commodores are the dregs of the SEC, they’re still more than good enough to beat the Eagles.
As for Memphis, the Tigers are 1-4 and will face long time rival Louisville this week. Don’t look for the Cardinals to show any mercy as they’ll more than likely hand Memphis their fifth loss of the season.

Dude, are you a Memphis fan? I honestly thought I was the only one in the country. Louisville is going to crush them though, and they suck.
I do like the direction Porter is heading in. Seriously
No, actually I’m a Tennessee fan but I reside in Memphis. I know a lot of people who are fans of the Tigers so I like to post stuff for them. I cover the Vols more than Memphis.
