The Islamic Defenders Front is planning to protest the upcoming release of an Indonesian horror movie starring porn star Tera Patrick.
The movie titled “Rintihan Kuntilanak Perawan” (The Moans of a Virgin Ghost), produced by K2K Productions, is scheduled to be released on Thursday much to the chagrin of Habib Salim Alatas, head of the Jakarta chapter of the Islamic Defenders Front.
Alatas is outraged that a porn star was allowed to enter the country, saying he didn’t know that Patrick was in Indonesia to shoot the movie.
“The movie producers have been so underhand. It makes us stressed,” Alatas said.
“The next time a porn film star lands at Soekarno Hatta airport, we will block them. Nobody told us that the actress had already come and shot the movie in Indonesia,” he said.
Alatas said that the Islamic Defenders Front will hold protests against the Film Censorship Board and the production company.
The film’s producer, KK Dheraj, said the movie had passed censorship and added that it wasn’t easy to convince Patrick to take part in the movie.
“The first time she heard the offer was from Indonesia, she was scared. She refused the movie four or five times before she finally agreed,” he said.
It took 16 months before Patrick’s management said yes to the offer.
“To have Tera Patrick in the movie was risky. I did the shooting secretly outside of Jakarta, ten days before the fasting month started. Twenty bodyguards were deployed to guard her from the airport to the hotel room,” he said.
