Adonis Thomas made Memphis Tigers basketball coach Josh Pastner a happy man on Thursday when he announced his decision to attend the University of Memphis.
Thomas is the highest rated prospect in the state of Tennessee and is ranked as the eighth best prospect nationally according to Scout.
Thomas is the first member of the Tigers 2011 recruiting class. Memphis is recruiting several more players among the nation’s top 100 prospects, including the son of former Memphis State player Bobby Parks.
Thomas had narrowed his choices to five schools and selected Memphis over Arkansas, Tennessee, UCLA and Florida.
