I’ll Bet Rece Davis is Behind This Cam Newton Thing

I’ll bet ESPN anchor Rece Davis – a University of Alabama graduate – is behind the allegations involving Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.

Everybody following the SEC knows that Davis is the illegitimate spawn of a late night liaison between Bear Bryant and a T-Town trailer park all-star known only as Bertha Jean.

These allegations against Newton are just too convenient considering the timing.

One can not cast aside these allegations as mere coincidence since Auburn – Alabama’s most hated rival – is undefeated and on course to play for the BCS national championship.

Only someone like Davis with close connections to Tuscaloosa – a T-Town operative if you will – could perpetrate such a story just three weeks from what could be one of the best Alabama-Auburn games in years.

While some in the college football world believe the rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State is the most heated, they’ve never witnessed a game between Alabama and Auburn.

The Iron Bowl is without question the most intense rivalry in college football. It makes Michigan-Ohio State look like a pillow fight.

The Crimson Tide and Tigers hate each other with such great passion that inflicting personal injury upon an opposing player is rewarded handsomely, usually in the form of free trips to Club Med if you play for Alabama.

While Auburn claims it won a national championship in 1957, the Tigers are on a path that could lead them to their first legitimate national title in school history.

With a 9-0 record and a No. 2 national ranking, the only thing standing between the Tigers and a BCS title game appearance are the Chattanooga Mocs, Georgia Bulldogs, the T-Town Tide and the SEC East team they could face in the SEC championship.

Playing the Mocs and Bulldogs at home should propel Auburn into their final regular season showdown with the Capstone Rammer Jammers undefeated.

That is unless the allegations surrounding Newton causes a distraction on the plains, creating an opportunity for the Rece Davis Darlings to find their way into the SEC championship game and possibly a return trip to the BCS national championship.

It’s this writer’s humble opinion that federal law enforcement officials should raid the ESPN offices occupied by one Laurece Davis, alias Rece Davis, alias The Deep Throat of T-Town, alias Saban’s Ball Washer, whereby evidence could be obtained linking him to the allegations against Auburn quarterback Cam Newton.
