March Madness has become the greatest three-week spectacle in sports, and now the Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament got even more spectacular with the announcement that Charles Barkley will become part of the madness.
Barkley and the rest of TNT’s NBA broadcast crew will join CBS’s March Madness team. Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson will work from the studio, while Marv Albert will call some early round games.
Barkley’s inclusion was part of a 14-year, $10.8 billion deal agreed to in April between CBS and Turner. Tournament games will air on CBS and three of Turner’s cable channels: TNT, TBS and truTV.
