Lindsay Lohan’s Long Rehab May Cost Her Film Role

Lindsay Lohan could be replaced in the role of Linda Lovelace in the film Inferno because of her long stay at the Betty Ford Center.

Director Matthew Wilder’s patience is said to be growing thin as he’s put off production of the film several times while Lohan has undergone rehab and made numerous court appearances.

Lohan has been court ordered to stay in rehab until January 3, 2011 and has yet to sign the contract officially binding her to the film.

“You know we have been through a lot with this project, and although she is still our number one choice – we do have a Plan B if she cannot film Inferno,” Wilder said. “And actually we have had a great response from other people who really want the part, too.”

Lohan is reported to be doing very well in rehab this time around which is getting Wilder’s hopes up for a possible collaboration in his film.

Wilder claims that if Lohan continues to do well and doesn’t fail anymore random drug tests, then shooting for Inferno can begin.
