Fox Sports reporter Thayer Evans got his ass handed to him after an Auburn University professor posted his telephone number on numerous message boards.
Evans hasn’t been shy about going after embattled Auburn quarterback Cam Newton over the allegations surrounding the pay-for-play scheme.
He’s gone on a mini crusade suggesting that the Auburn signal caller should not receive any votes for the Heisman Trophy, despite the fact Newton has produced the kind of numbers that would potentially earn him the award.
In his continuing quest to stir things up, Evans was reportedly calling Auburn University professors in order to get more dirt on Newton.
But Evans efforts were stopped dead in their tracks after his number was posted on boards frequented by Auburn supporters.
