Matt Lauer: The Biggest Tool On TV

NBC is airing a special on Thanksgiving night featuring Today Show host Matt Lauer’s “People of the Year,” a group that includes LeBron James, Kim Kardashian and Sharif el-Gamal.

Only a tool like Lauer would consider James, Kardashian and el-Gamal as people who deserve to be held up as having done something of value.

To be fair, Lauer also selected some people that actually qualify for having done something noteworthy over the past year.

Memphis native Justin Timberlake, “Hero Dad” James Jones and Chilean miner rescuer Brendon Fisher are also being highlighted.

In a classic case of “it takes a tool to know one,” Lauer digs deep into the psyche of the narcissistic one, alias King James, alias “The Decision” maker, on the subliminal meaning of his new Nike commercial.

James tells Lauer that “You can’t live your life on someone else’s path,” which is another way of saying that you have to make your on way in this life.

But James and his agent, Maverick Carter, played the race card in October on Larry King’s show suggesting that people formed a negative opinion of him based on the color of his skin – and not the content of his character – the character he sorely lacks, following his ill-advised, nationally televised announcement where he would play hoops this season.

That doesn’t sound like someone who wants to make their own way in this life. Rather, it’s a perfect example of James being the entitlement baby he’s proven to be.

If Lauer honestly believes that Kardashian – a socialite who hasn’t worked a day in her life or accomplished one thing of any value – is worthy of being named one of his People of the Year, perhaps he should give up his job on the Today Show and date one of the chicks from Jersey Shore.

Kardashian by all accounts is a twit with a big ass and no discernible skills, other than hawking skin care products.

Those qualities, or lack thereof, wouldn’t rate a mention in any credible medium, but in Lauer’s case credibility flew out the window a long time ago.

Easily the biggest tool in Lauer’s tool box is el-Gamal, the Imam who wants to build a mosque near ground zero.

Despite the fact roughly 70 percent of Americans don’t want the mosque built in that location, Lauer, and everyone else in the lamestream media, support el-Gamal’s efforts.

In what is clearly a political statement by one of the hordes in the lamestream media that have their noses buried in Barack Obama’s ass, Lauer will attempt to paint nearly three-quarters of America’s population as Islamophobes and being too stupid to understand why this mosque should be built on ground zero.

Without Matt the Tool Man Lauer, I don’t know if I could exist.

Perhaps next year Lauer can select an entire group of people that Americans can look up to, as opposed to several that are glaring examples of what we shouldn’t aspire to be.

To steal a line from Red Eye’s Greg Gutfeld, if you don’t agree with me you’re an anti-American racist, AstroTurf dwelling denizen Islamophobe who hates chicks with big asses and narcissistic basketball players.
