Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom has sued the IRS because he wasn’t allowed to take a deduction for $12,000 in fines levied against him by the NBA.
Also at issue is $178,337 Odom tried to deduct for money he spent getting himself into shape.
The Lakers forward filed suit in U.S. Tax Court to fight an $87,000 claim from the Internal Revenue Service over his 2007 federal tax return.
Odom is representing himself in the matter and personally signed the pleading that was filed with the court on October 25.
