Sounds like Jenn Sterger wants a pound of flesh after Tuesday’s announcement that she will present new evidence against Brett Favre unless the NFL hammers him.
According to Sterger’s manager Phil Reese, Favre sent pictures of his penis on more than one occasion to her, saying, “She provided extensive evidence that irrefutably proves there was harassment.”
Reese also said that “No matter what happens, Jenn has all legal remedies, including going public…if the NFL doesn’t clear her name. We sincerely hope the league does the right thing.”
In other words, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell needs to move forward with some type of punishment of Favre and do so quickly or Sterger is going to make life a lot more miserable for the Vikings quarterback.
According to Sterger’s representatives, she has an “overabundance of evidence” suggesting that Favre engaged in not one incident, but multiple incidents of harassment.
Those multiple incidents included inappropriate photos, text messages and voice mails sent during the time Favre was with the New York Jets and Sterger worked as a stadium hostess for the team.
But Sterger brought about delay in addressing Favre’s alleged misconduct when she refused to come forward immediately after the story broke.
Instead of addressing the matter expeditiously, Sterger waited until the NFL had conducted their investigation which included a conversation with Favre.
Now that the NFL appears to be dragging their feet on the matter, Sterger had her attorney essentially threaten legal action unless the league dishes out a sizable punishment.
Clearly, Sterger should have come forward with this “overabundance of evidence” she claims to possess much sooner so the NFL could have dealt with Favre.
I find it a little perplexing however, when her attorney spoke of the NFL clearing her name. To my knowledge no one has accused Sterger of doing anything that would invite harassment from Favre.
It’s not the NFL’s job to clear her name; that job is the sole responsibility of Sterger and she’s had ample opportunity to do it.
I don’t feel sorry for Favre because everything that’s happened to him over the past few years is a result of his own making.
But for Sterger to ostensibly demand the NFL take action against Favre or else, that’s going a tad too far. Not to mention the fact she could file a civil suit against him anytime she wants.
For that matter, if evidence does exist that would prove a pattern of Favre harassing her, why didn’t she make the matter public when these incidents occurred?
There’s a sense that Sterger didn’t want to create waves when she was an employee of the Jets, but that was two years ago.
Let’s not forget that Sterger hasn’t exactly been shy about putting herself in the public eye.
I don’t want to demonize her or suggest she brought this upon herself, but the fact is she used her popularity to make a few bucks when she posed for Playboy.
Jenn Sterger is the alleged victim of sexual harassment, but that doesn’t give her carte blanche to pursue an unnecessary agenda against Brett Favre or the NFL.

This is gonna get juicy!
