As they’ve done every year for the past decade, the Southeastern Conference leads all FBS conferences in the latest college football recruiting rankings.
The SEC currently has 10 teams among Scout.com’s top 25 and nine teams each listed in Rivals.com and ESPN.com’s top 25 team rankings.
All three of the scouting services rate Alabama’s current crop of commitments as the best among all SEC teams thus far.
The Crimson Tide have received commitments from six of the nation’s top 100 prospects, including HaSean Clinton-Dix, the top safety prospect in the country.
Florida, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn and Georgia have each secured commitments from some of the most talented prep prospects in the nation as well.
With a little more than a month before national signing day, SEC teams have received commitments from 23 of Scout’s top 100 prep prospects.
If you’ve ever wondered why SEC teams have won the past four BCS national championships and six overall, it’s not because of the bias some claim.
The conference has dominated college football because more talented players sign to play with SEC teams than any other conference in the nation.
