You can add Vice President Joe Biden to the list of those who would like to see college football determine its national champion using a playoff format.
The vice president was in Afghanistan on Monday visiting the troops and met with General David Petraeus. Mr. Biden briefly mentioned that Delaware lost the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision) title game by one point last week to Eastern Washington.
In discussing the recently played BCS national championship between Auburn and Oregon, the vice president said the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) national champion should be decided with a playoff format similar to the one used in the FCS.
The vice president didn’t provide any details but considering the President of the United States is also among those who would like to see a playoff, they represent two powerful voices.
