Jennifer Lopez wasn’t going to be the butt of a Ricky Gervais joke at the Golden Globe awards this past weekend, telling the host “I will kill you.”
Gervais ruffled a lot of feathers at the event with his mean-spirited barbs directed towards a number of celebrities, including Charlie Sheen (he deserved it), Johnny Depp, Bruce Willis and Angelina Jolie.
But Lopez was determined not to be embarrassed by Gervais as she took to the stage with co-presenter Alec Baldwin.
She explains, “We’re about to walk out and Ricky shows up and I said, ‘Listen, I will kill you, you understand. I am from New York, my husband fights… we both fight, we will beat you up after the show.’
You go girl.
And judging by this photo of Gervais, I’d say it’s a safe bet Lopez would have kicked his ass all over the place.
