Fox Sports has rejected an ad that was intended to air during Super Bowl XLV for the Web site AshleyMadison.com featuring porn star Savanna Samson.
Ashley Madison is a site for would-be adulterers that want to cheat on their spouses. The site produced two versions of the ad, one which was deemed “Safe for Work” while the other was more explicit.
Even the ad that Ashley Madison wanted to air wasn’t exactly safe for work and considering it featured a porn star, Fox was left to make a no-brainer decision.
Noel Biderman, founder of AshleyMadison.com said, “Clearly having a porn star as the central figure in your commercial isn’t going to help your cause.”
If that’s the case, you can’t help but wonder why Biderman bothered spending the money producing an ad that had zero chance of airing.
Biderman actually attempted to claim the NFL was discriminating against porn stars.
Is it just me or does Biderman sound like a complete idiot?
