The ladies of the Lingerie Football League heat up the pages of the February 2011 issue of Playboy magazine in a nude photo layout.
The Lingerie Football League originated in 2004 and has grown to 10 teams. The players explain the league is a far cry from the girly (sic) powder puff games many imagine.
“People think it’s just a bunch of prissy girls playing two-hand touch,” says Vanessa Sanchez of the San Diego Seduction. “We like to look hot, but we like to hit people, too.”
Ashley Helmstetter of the Miami Caliente says, “It’s real athletes playing real football…It’s not just inexperienced models running around pretending to tackle one another.”
The two conference winners of the Lingerie Football League are set to meet in the eighth annual Lingerie Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday.
