College Football National Signing Day Is Here

The road to a BCS national championship begins each year with college football coaches hoping they’ll sign the nation’s most talented prep prospects.

Today is National Signing Day for thousands of young men who will take the next step from high school to college football.

Most will fly under the radar as the nation’s best players sign with the college football powers, but it’s an honor anytime a young man earns a scholarship to play the greatest game on earth.

This year Florida State, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia and Auburn are among the schools that could be crowned this year’s recruiting national champion.

All of those schools and dozens of other college football coaches will anxiously await the decisions of the few remaining prospects that have yet to announce their intentions.

As has been the case for the past decade, the SEC will reel in the most talented players. Before the final numbers are tallied, Southeastern Conference football teams will have signed close to 100 of the nation’s best prospects.

As of now, the SEC has nine teams among Scout’s, Rivals and ESPN’s top 25 recruiting classes.

Barring any last minute changes, the Seminoles are poised to sign the nation’s best recruiting class this year.

We’ll bump this post throughout the day to bring you updated announcements and team rankings.
