Ed Schultz Suggests National Anthem Gaffe Was Fox’s Fault

When Keith Olbermann left MSNBC, Ed Schultz has done his best to become the network’s next raving lunatic, although he doesn’t have to do much to fill the void.

For a network that’s already populated with so called professional journalists who are completely devoid of any credibility, Schultz kicked things up a notch when he suggested that Fox Sports was responsible for Christina Aguilera botching the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV.

The reason Schultz’s comments are equally humorous and pathetic is because he briefly played in the NFL, signing a free agent deal with the Oakland Raiders in 1977.

For someone who works in the media and played in the NFL that doesn’t know Fox didn’t have anything to do with Aguilera’s gaffe is unfathomable.

Schultz should know – and probably does but won’t admit it – that the NFL hires the people who will sing the National Anthem, God Bless America and who will perform during halftime.

Fox Sports doesn’t have anything to do with those decisions, and while the NFL is certainly embarrassed by the problems that were associated with the Super Bowl – Aguilera’s gaffe among them – even they aren’t responsible for her screwing up the lines.

Schultz and the gang at MSNBC have serious issues, mostly related to the inferiority complexes they have knowing the Fox News Channel has superior ratings.

When the other guy is kicking your ass, more often than not it means he’s better than you. I don’t give a damn about Fox, but the fact is they’re killing MSNBC and the ratings prove it.

Schultz is acutely aware of the nightly ass-kicking and will do or say anything that panders to the limited number of sycophants watching him rant every night.

And therein lies the problem with America’s “professional” media in general; they’re not very professional, they have virtually no credibility and they lack the moral courage to admit when they’re wrong.

Schultz won’t admit he knows damn good and well that Fox didn’t have anything to do with Aguilera’s National Anthem foul up.

He’s too much of a coward to admit he’s wrong for fear it might make him look foolish, but then again he looks foolish without having to put forth much effort.

Nice job Ed. Keep up the good work buddy.
