According to a report at the New York Post, supermodels Irina Sheik and Anne Vyalitsyna are the favorites to be this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model.
Apparently there has been some schmoozing going on behind the scenes with several of the models trying to curry favor to get the coveted cover model gig.
Sheik was out of the country modeling this past weekend, but Brooklyn Decker and Vyalitsyna were among several models who attended a party thrown by Sports Illustrated bosses at Super Bowl XLV.
The Post cited a source that’s supposedly a fashion insider who said, “The girls can get catty over it because everybody wants it. The cover makes you a household name. Any model who wants to make herself a brand knows this is what you need to do.”
Catty huh? As in cat fighting? As in hot supermodels tearing off each others clothes? I’m getting excited.
Personally I could care less which model ends up on the cover, but if it’s a big deal to you then perhaps I can help with your decision.
