Deadliest Catch Will Have Two New Boats This Season

The fishing vessels Ramblin’ Rose and Seabrooke have been added to the fleet for the new season of “Deadliest Catch” when the reality show returns in April.

According to a press release from the Discovery Channel, the new boats will join the Cornelia Marie, Northwestern, Time Bandit and the Wizard.

Still recovering from the loss of their father Phil, sons Josh and Jake Harris will look to prove they have what it takes to conquer the waters of the Bearing Sea as the co-owners of the Cornelia Marie.

Captain’s Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand will be on center stage again after briefly auditioning successors in the wheelhouse of the Time Bandit last season. But they soon find their lucky streak in crabbing could be coming to an end.

On the Northwestern, Captain Sig Hansen is left guessing if his brother Edgar is even showing up at all this season. Meanwhile, Captain Keith Colburn gambles and ventures into uncharted fishing grounds hoping for a big payoff for the Wizard.

The Ramblin’ Rose introduces a young, rowdy crew skippered by 28-year-old Elliot Neese, who’s already boasting about his fishing prowess.

Scott Campbell Jr. is the Captain aboard the Seabrooke, a man who is trying to overcome the loss of a deckhand at sea.

Clark Bunting, President and General Manager of the Discovery Channel, says this season’s version of “Deadliest Catch” will be the show’s best.

“Deadliest Catch has the best storytelling on television. Our captains and crew are real, raw and magnetic characters who bring an intense and honest reality to everything in their world,” said Bunting.

The new season of “Deadliest Catch” premieres on Tuesday, April 12, at 9 p.m.on the Discovery Channel.
