I’m Crying As I Write This Post About The Miami Heat

You’ll have to forgive me if there are a few spelling or grammatical errors in this post, because I’m crying uncontrollably about the Miami Heat crying.

According to coach Erik Spoelstra, some of the Heat players were crying in the locker room after Miami lost to the Chicago Bulls 87-86 on Sunday.

Just like former president Bill Clinton, I feel the Heat’s pain.

But unlike the Heat players who were crying tears of sadness, I’m crying tears of joy. I’m laughing as I cry because the Heat are a bunch of cry babies.

Crying in the NBA? There’s no crying in professional basketball.

As part of ESPN’s coverage of the game, John Barry said he didn’t have a problem with Spoelstra telling the media what was going on in the Heat’s locker room, saying that it showed the players really cared.

Please.

Crying after a game has never proved how much someone cares.

I can understand if some of the players cried after winning an NBA title. I can understand if some of them cried after losing the seventh game of a hard fought playoff series.

What I can’t understand is how a grown man can cry after losing a regular season game, no matter how painful the loss may be.

Maybe the Heat players were crying because LeBron choked up again with the game on the line. But that shouldn’t have upset them too much because we’ve seen James miss key shots late in games before.

Whatever the reasons, Miami might want to get used to these crying jags. Either that or they may want to contact Dr. Phil and schedule a session or two.

We’re starting to see cracks in a team whose supposed leader isn’t up to the challenge of taking the Heat were many thought they could go.

Miami is beginning to realize that this dream team they’ve assembled isn’t tough enough to compete with Boston, Chicago or Orlando in the playoffs.

What’s going to happen when Miami loses in the playoffs? Someone better ensure there isn’t any rope in the locker room.
