Retired porn star Katie Morgan celebrates her 31st birthday today, her first since leaving the industry that made her famous.
Morgan began her porn career in 2000 after being arrested for bringing more than 100 pounds of marijuana across the border from Mexico into the U.S.
Thinking porn would help generate some much needed cash to pay off bail and the terms of her plea bargain, Morgan began appearing in films where she was usually cast as the perky, college girl type.
Morgan was featured in a number of HBO specials, including Pornucopia: Going Down in the Valley, Katie Morgan on Sex Toys, Katie Morgan: Porn 101, Katie Morgan’s Sex Tips and in the documentary Katie Morgan: A Porn Star Revealed.
For several years she co-hosted The Wanker Show on adult internet radio station KSEXradio.com and in 2008 she made a guest appearance on Entourage playing herself.
That same year, Morgan made her first mainstream film appearance when she was cast in “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.”
Gone but not forgotten, Katie Morgan will go down (no pun intended) as one of the most popular porn stars in recent memory.
