Via Sportsnewser, Greg Gumbel momentarily forgot who he is employed with, saying the Duke-Michigan game on Sunday would be seen on ESPN.
Gumbel left ESPN in 1988 and the network hasn’t televised an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game since 1990, the year before CBS acquired the rights to cover every round of the tournament.
No one on the set reacts to Gumbel’s gaffe, in fact, he’s the only one who immediately recognizes his mistake.
