Smutley the Cat is a cartoon character that has a more voracious sexual appetite than Charlie Sheen, spending his days boning just about anything in sight.
Considering Smutley’s risque lifestyle, you can imagine that spreading sexually transmitted diseases is a major concern.
Smutley is being used in a series of public service announcements in an effort to bring awareness to the practice of unsafe sex from the people at AIDES, a French association tackling HIV/AIDS.
The video showing Smutley having unprotected sex with everything from a turtle to an elephant wouldn’t air in the United States, but Europeans are generally more open minded towards sex.
As a result, the graphic depictions of Smutley’s promiscuous lifestyle send a louder message, perhaps more effectively getting through to people who don’t practice safe sex.
