Video: Grizzlies Darrell Arthur Alley Oop Slam Against Hornets

During the Memphis Grizzlies beat down of the New Orleans Hornets on Sunday, Darrell Arthur was the beneficiary of a spectacular play started by O. J. Mayo.

The Grizzlies defense was exceptional throughout the game, but this play was easily the NBA’s highlight of the day.

As Mayo laid on the floor after diving for a loose ball, he threw a behind the head pass to Arthur, who immediately passed the ball to Greivis Vasquez for a 2 on 1 fast break.

As Vasquez moved up court, he pulled up about eight feet from the goal and lobbed the ball to Arthur, who used one hand to slam it home.

Even though the Grizzlies had blown the game open, listening to Pete Pranica call the play makes it even more exciting.
