Video: Stephen A. Smith ‘Hell Bent’ on Getting TV Show

Via Sports Newsers, former Philadelphia Inquirer failed columnist and current failed ESPN Radio host Stephen A. Smith says he’s “hell bent” on landing another TV show.

Smith sat down with Media Bistro to discuss, among many topics, why he’s a failure and why he’s under the delusion that he could actually land a TV gig after he failed miserably with his original ESPN show, “Quite Frankly.”

According to Sports Newser, Smith was in talks with Showtime last year about a late night show, but apparently someone with the network wised up and nothing materialized.

Smith is the raving genius who suggested in November 2007 that lowly bloggers don’t have the right to publish content because we aren’t professional journalists.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Smith said, “I respect the journalism industry, and the fact of the matter is …someone with no training should not be allowed to have any kind of format whatsoever to disseminate to the masses to the level which they can.”

For someone who claims to be a professional journalist, Smith is obviously not aware of the First Amendment, you know, that whole free speech thing he seems to believe is only afforded to a select few like him.

Smith says he has “unfinished business” and that he’s “hell bent on getting a television show, and I will not rest until it happens.”

Sounds like Smith won’t be getting any rest until he dies.

Anyway, here’s a video of Stephen A. Smith – one of my favorite babbling buffoons of the “professional media” – yammering on about nothing that matters.
