TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley really likes the Memphis Grizzlies, having correctly picked them to defeat the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 2011 NBA Playoffs.
In fact, Barkley was the only NBA insider I’m aware of that thought Memphis could beat the Spurs.
Last week we posted an article that made note of the 12 ESPN NBA analysts that all had the Spurs winning the series against the Grizzlies.
On Monday, Barkley was a guest on Jim Rome’s show discussing the NBA playoffs and he picked the Grizzlies to defeat Oklahoma City. He also picked Dallas to upset the Los Angeles Lakers in their semifinal series.
When Rome asked Barkley if he thought Memphis could win the Western Conference, the former NBA great said the Grizzlies have what it takes.
