The 2011 NBA Playoffs had me thinking the Grizzlies’ Tony Allen had overtaken the Lakers’ Ron Artest as the league’s top “crazy dude” as Charles Barkley would say.
But after he closelined the Mavericks JJ Barea in the closing seconds of the Lakers 93-81 loss to Dallas on Wednesday night, Artest is still the NBA’s top crazy dude.
Lakers coach Phil Jackson said he expects the league to suspend Artest for their next game, which is crucial considering Dallas leads the series 2-0.
Game 3 of the Lakers-Mavericks series resumes on Friday night in Dallas, and unless Los Angeles starts playing significantly better they’re going to swept.
