Jenna Jameson is being sued for $50,000 by Ted Bulthaup, CEO of Hollywood Palms Cinema and Hollywood Boulevard Cinema for breach of contract.
Bulthaup alleges that Jameson broke her agreement to attend events related to a birthday party for Perez Hilton.
The lawsuit was filed in DuPage County Circuit Court in Wheaton, Illinois, and accuses Jameson of “breach of her written contract to attend evens scheduled for March 24-26.”
According to Bulthaup, he made advance payment to Jameson, her agent and her personal assistant, and invested thousands of dollars advertising the event.
Bulthaup says that according to the terms of his agreement with Jameson, she was supposed to mingle with fans and pose for photos with them.
The day before Jameson’s scheduled appearance, her agent sent Bulthaup a “vague doctor’s note” explaining that the former queen of porn had a “medical emergency” and wouldn’t be able to attend the event.
However, on the day her agent sent the doctor’s note to Bulthaup, Jameson was photographed at Hilton’s birthday party in Los Angeles, and the photos were still posted on his website as of June 2.
“We just – from a variety of sources and resources – determined she was not sick, and indeed planned on going to this party, and tried to get out of her contract using illness as an excuse,” Bulthaup said.
Jameson was served a copy of the lawsuit on May 24 at her Huntington Beach, California home, however, according to reports, “After extensive and extended efforts (by Jameson) at not answering the door, and accepting the papers from a process server.”
According to Bulthaup, Jameson gave the name of a lawyer who represented her, however, he claims, “when we tracked him down and contacted him, he said he only met her once at a birthday party and did not represent her.”
Jameson hasn’t responded to the allegations. A preliminary hearing is set for August 15.
Strange, you would think Jenna has plenty of money and plenty of lawyers around! LOL
