Bengals Roy Williams Helping Veterans

Cincinnati Bengals safety Roy Williams has joined forces with several NFL players and country music singer Toby Keith to help our nation’s veterans.

Williams started Pros 4 Vets, an organization that provides assistance to veterans addressing a wide range of issues.

In addition to Williams and Keith, free agent defensive tackle Tommie Harris and St. Louis Rams wideout Mark Clayton – both of whom played college football at the University of Oklahoma – helped found Pros 4 Vets.

According to their web site, Pros 4 Vets “brings together professionals from diverse backgrounds to help our veterans in any way they can. From addressing relevant issues to providing free legal assistance, Pros 4 Vets combines the star power of professional athletes with career professionals from all fields to serve those who sacrifice to protect our freedom.”

Among the issues facing the nation’s veterans are post traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, homelessness and depression.

Williams was a guest on Hannity last week discussing the groups efforts and how all of us can help.

As a veteran, I’m very grateful to everyone involved in this effort. Please take a minute to visit their web site Pros 4 Vets, their Facebook page and follow them on Twitter and find out more about the services they provide.
