Angela Dorian, real name Victoria Vetri, was sentenced to nine years in prison on Wednesday for shooting her husband Bruce Rathgeb in October 2010.
Dorian was named the 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year following her appearance as the September 1967 Playmate of the Month.
According to police reports, Dorian used a Walther PPK .380 handgun and fired one shot into the chest of Rathgeb following a heated argument inside their Hollywood apartment.
Dorian plead no contest to the attempted voluntary manslaughter charge in Los Angeles Superior Court. In addition to the nine-year sentence, Dorian was ordered to pay $70,000 into California’s victim restitution fund.
