MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25 – Week 2

LSU remains at the top of the MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25 this week after the Tigers had an easy time beating Northwestern State on Saturday.

The strength of their season opening win over Oregon is reason enough for me to keep LSU at the top of my poll, coupled with the fact that no other team in the nation has a win as impressive on their resume.

Alabama rises to No.2 in this week’s MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25 after they beat Penn State convincingly on the road. The Crimson Tide showed the nation why so many consider them to be one of the teams with a legitimate chance to play for the national championship.

Boise State dropped a notch this week to No.3 after a bye week. The Broncos will face a few competitive opponents before their November 12 game against TCU, but they should beat everyone on their schedule, including the Horned Frogs.

Oklahoma is No.4 in this week’s top 25 as the Sooners prepare to face Florida State on Saturday. Oklahoma is in position to make a very loud statement if they can beat the Seminoles on the road, but the Sooners could also find themselves out of the national championship picture with a loss.

Speaking of Florida State, the Seminoles are No. 5 in this week’s MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25. They’ve got the cupcakes portion of their schedule behind them and now face a real test against the Sooners.

Just as Oklahoma can make a statement on Saturday, so can Florida State. A win gives them an excellent chance of being in the hunt for the BCS national championship.

If you don’t like my top 25, list your complaints in the comments section. It won’t do you any good though. It’s my top 25 and I can rank who I want, where I want. Implied raspberry.
