Whether you’re a fan of the Southeastern Conference or not, Kristina Akra makes watching SEC Gridiron Live a lot of fun every Tuesday night on Fox Sports Net.
Akra serves as the show’s social media reporter and this year she will be working as a sideline reporter during SEC games broadcast on Fox Sports Net.
Akra graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications. She began her career as a reporter for the University of Florida production company GatorVision, conducting weekly reports and interviews for GatorZone, a show featuring Florida Gator athletics on Sun Sports.
Prior to joining the SEC Gridiron Live team, Akra worked for Kraft Sports Productions, the in-house production company for the New England Patriots. She covered the Patriots year round and also worked as the sideline reporter for the New England Revolution, a franchise in MLS.
Before she went to work for the Patriots and Revolution, Akra was a Miami Heat Dancer, the dance squad for the NBA’s Miami Heat.
Akra brings a lot of energy to the weekly SEC Gridiron Live telecasts. And let’s face it; she’s makes the show a lot more fun to watch. Anyone tuning in will tell you that Akra is the main attraction among a group that includes Randy Cross, Kevin Carter, Charles Davis and Tim Couch.
