By virtue of their huge win over Florida State on Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners are the new No.1 team in the MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25.
The Sooners win on the road against a really good Seminoles team was more than enough to catapult them to the top of the rankings.
Even though they beat a solid Mississippi State team on the road, that victory wasn’t impressive enough to keep LSU at the top.
The Tigers have a tough road game this week against West Virginia and a win over the Mountaineers could help them regain the No.1 ranking.
Coming in at No.3 in this week’s poll is Alabama. The Crimson Tide haven’t been seriously tested but they’ll face a strong Arkansas team on Saturday that should give us a better idea of how good Alabama really is.
The Boise State Broncos are No.4 in this week’s MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25. Their win over Toledo wasn’t as impressive since Ohio State lost to Miami (FL). The Buckeyes had to fight for a win over the Rockets, but Ohio State doesn’t seem to be all that tough this season.
Rounding out the top five this week is Stanford, who beat the hell out of Arizona on Saturday. The Cardinal turned a close game at halftime into a laugher, and quarterback Andrew Luck is every bit as good as advertised.
If you don’t like my top 25, list your complaints in the comments section. It won’t do you any good though. It’s my top 25 and I can rank who I want, where I want. Implied raspberry.
