LSU retakes the No.1 ranking in this week’s MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25 following their 47-21 beat down of West Virginia on the road.
The Tigers have now beaten three top 25 opponents and two of those wins have come on the road. LSU will have to navigate a tough remaining schedule but they have the look of a national championship team.
Coming in at No.2 this week is Oklahoma, a 38-28 winner over Missouri on Saturday. The Sooners have consecutive wins over quality opponents and have the type of defense that can carry them if the offense sputters.
Alabama is No.3 in the MoonDog Sports College Football Top 25 after the Crimson Tide thumped Arkansas on Saturday. Alabama or LSU will be one of the teams playing for the national championship and that will be decided when the Crimson Tide and Tigers square off on November 5.
Boise State is No.4 in this week’s poll after they beat a good Tulsa team on Saturday. Kellen Moore continues to play well and the Broncos could possibly play for the BCS title if they can get a few breaks, meaning several teams have to lose and they have to remain unbeaten.
Rounding out this week’s top 5 is Stanford. The Cardinal were idle last week and are the one team we still don’t know much about because they haven’t faced a strong opponent yet.
If you don’t like my top 25, list your complaints in the comments section. It won’t do you any good though. It’s my top 25 and I can rank who I want, where I want. Implied raspberry.
