Now this is the type of protesting I want to see in America. Instead of people occupying Wall Street or pointing fingers at one another, let’s throw eggs at the politicians.
More than 1,000 assembled in Iceland on Saturday to protest the nation’s economic policies. Some of the protesters displayed their displeasure by pelting members of parliament and other officials with eggs.
I can’t think of a more appropriate way to send a message to a politician. Of course, if Americans were to engage in tossing eggs at our politicians we’d likely spend some time in jail.
But before you got hauled off to the clink, it sure would provide several minutes of total satisfaction knowing that a few well tossed eggs landed on those who have gotten us into this mess.
