Former porn star Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump make for an unusual pair, but the two are seeking an apology following a false report of an affair between them.
Tabloid magazine Life & Style ran with a story initially published on the web site TheDirty, which falsely claimed that Daniels and Trump were having an affair.
TheDirty cited a source that claimed Daniels and Trump met at a golf outing, but there was no evidence that meeting took place.
After Daniels and Trump pushed back against the allegations, TheDirty removed the post. But that didn’t stop Life & Style from publishing the false story.
Trump said that the alleged affair is “totally untrue and ridiculous” and Daniels’ attorney wrote a letter to Life & Style saying that publishing an article knowing it was false was nothing more than an attempt to “lure potential customers to your commercial filth.”
Thus far, Daniels and Trump haven’t indicated they will take legal action against Life & Style.
