Arkansas’s Joe Adams had perhaps the most spectacular punt return of the college football season on Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers.
With the Razorbacks leading 7-0 with 17 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Adams caught Matt Darr’s punt at the Arkansas 40.
Adams was surrounded by several Vols’ players and twice it appeared he was going to be tackled around the Hogs’ 35 yard line.
But he continued to evade Tennessee’s punt team, breaking at least three tackles and eventually got free down the sideline for a 60-yard touchdown.
Words simply can’t describe how amazing Adams’ return was. It should be noted that the Volunteers’ punt team out to be ashamed of themselves for allowing Adams to break free.
