A few years ago a friend of mine took me to a house in Bartlett, TN that has 80,000 Christmas lights synchronized to music, and now the home owner is getting national attention.
Mike Vorwerk moved to Bartlett in 1996 and a few years later decided he wanted to do something that went well beyond the average Christmas decorations.
Six months before Christmas in 2000, Vorwerk began to put the mother of all Christmas light shows into motion.
Now his Christmas light show attracts thousands every year and Readers Digest has named Vorwerk’s home the “Best Decorated House” in America.
And having seen the Christmas light show, simply saying that Vorwerk’s home is the best decorated is a huge understatement.
Since his house is only 10 minutes from mine, I make a short drive over to his place every year before Christmas to check out the show.
